UX research training

I am a UX research trainer, offering workshops to develop skills in conducting customer interviews and usability testing. These workshops are highly interactive and fun. I have conducted them with product managers and UX researchers.

I also offer jobs-to-be-done, personas and value proposition workshops.

One very successful workshop series I gave with Jen Romano and Rebecca Destello, two UX researcher friends, is ‘The Research Challenge Workshop’:

The Research Challenge Workshop

Jen Romano, Rebecca Destello, and I created and moderated ‘The Research Challenge’, a workshop for researchers to work on real-life research challenges and practice research planning skills. In a 3-hour interactive remote session (with breaks), participants work in groups and individually on research tasks on a virtual whiteboard, using timeboxing similar to situations you might encounter in job interviews. We hosted our remote workshops on 9 Sept. 2020, 7 Oct. 2020, 18 Nov. 2020, 16 Dec. 2020, and on 17 August 2022, and on 5 April 2023, 6 Nov. 2023.

Workshop in person & full-day at WUC 2022

The Research Challenge workshop at World Usability Congress 2022 with Sabrina Duda and Jen Romano

Jen Romano and I moderated another Research Challenge Workshop at the WUC. Live, and a full day! The two research challenges – tasks to be solved first as a group, then as an individual – were combined with short presentations about the best research approach and example studies.
